Old Samsung Syncmaster 2033 Problems

Hey guys,

I run two monitor on my machine a Samsung Syncmaster p2450 which is my main screen.

Then a Samsung Syncmaster 2033 which i use to keep apps open like teamspeak and cpu temp monitors gpu temps etc etc

Now i went for a bath a while ago and both screens was on fine no problem.

I cam back and the 2033 screen was very dark i could kinda make out what was on but i had to squint.

Now its totally black. It is on cos the blue light is on it has input cos its not flashing. If i turn the monitor off and on again it lights up with what should be on it for a second then goes dark again. I've swapped cables over to make it the main monitor same thing, i used the D-sub socket instead of the DVI one and still the same thing.

Any ideas or is it borked ?

Probably bad capacitors power or inverter board.

If it is the case, it is fixable, with some effort.

That is a US site, so just as an example and I'm not sure if the sw makes any difference.

A guide is here to help you diagnose the problem. Post 13 & 14 are the ones to look at.
