Old School AGP Needed!

Hi

Im currently building a PC up from spare parts i had lying around, got most stuff and i thought i had a 9700 Pro but sadly its dead, totally dead.

So now i need to get a half decent card, new or used (ebay) that will see me fit. I cant imagine any gaming is going on, so as long as its cool and quiet and can run Win7 im happy.

Budget is up to £30 any suggestions?

There are a few 9800s on the bay, but iirc they run stupidly hot?

I think the latest agp card was the ATI 4670 but due to them being agp go for more than a pci-e card.

you just want something basic like a 3450/3650 AGP if your not gaming.

6600gt or 7600gt should do you fine.

Try cooking your 9700 at 230 degrees for 4 mins cover all plastic parts with tin foil.
Have the same problem as you just built a pc for the spare room for when friends come to stay . My 9700 was dead after been in storage for 4 years so i stuck it in the oven like i did my xbox 360 and hey we up and running again. What you got to loose

Thanks for the suggestion but sadly it wouldnt work, it's dead because i dropped a hard drive in it which snapped a few things off
