Old school AMD 754

It came with this
2e4jdcn.jpg

What does it say on the card? looking at it it could be anything up to and including a Geforce 6 series.

In fact looking at it id guess it may well be a 6200, in which case it should be fine for watching HD videos, however it could also be a 4 or 5 series.

Edit: Its a GeForce4 MX 4000 128MB 8xAGP :(

how the hell did you know that? lol sorry for blurry pics, was late and the mobile was all i could find at the time. Seriously thinking of buying the mobo suggested above and selling what I have now. Just need to go through and test it all.

For HDMI it's a dead end system, sell it for a few quid. There are AGP cards with HDMI (HD4650 springs to mind) but they are very expensive and painfully rare and even the slowest CPUs of today (okay, maybe not Atom) will be quicker

Well at least I learnt something - AGP cards are annoying lol

Thanks all

if the case accepts a m-itx then get a h61 m-itx board and a celeron g540, just built my gdad one very impressed !! copes with iplayer hd content fine!

if purely for x264, m4v mkv,... 1080p hd films and an internet browser use an e350 m-itx along with xbmc Its great. But forget Iplayer hd as it runs off flash which doesnt make use of the 6310 to offload the cpu load, brazos will max at 100percent on both cores and it will stutter =unwatchable

I've actually used a G530 a little budget build earlier this year and I was also very impressed especially considering its only £35 new delivered now.

Think I seen a few refurbed H61 mitx boards so Might just pick on up, thanks.

UPDATE: I got this old girl running! put it all back together and it worked first time!
