Old school - UV, tubes & coils

Hey guys,

Looking to go UV for a new build, theme will be black and orange, rig will be dual loop.

I'm considering running black tubing for one loop with orange UV anti kink coils, the second loop being UV orange tubing & black anti kink coils.

Don't think i'll have much choice when it comes to coils (Primochill by the looks of it) but looking to see if any of you have used UV orange fluid, what type you used (Mayhems, EK, Feser etc), did you use clear or UV orange tubing etc etc

Lol classic old school that mate. I've only just moved from using barbs and clamps to compression fittings.

Orange seems to be a rare beast for uv these days. Guess I'll just have to fork out and do some experimenting myself! :cool:

I don't mean to hijack your thread here, but is it possible to use UV without having that awful purple glow permeating your entire case? I personally want to use UV braided cables and coolant but that glow is putting me right off

The purple glow is part and parcel of UV

Could try running very low wattage UV lighting?
Other thought is perhaps LED rings on the tubes which I know you can get in RGB but I've never seen UV ones - but something tells me they must exist somewhere

Alphacool do make those, the only issue I have with them is that unlike fittings where the LEDs are positioned to send light down the length of the tube these are just rings you can put anywhere on the tube and the LEDs point inward so I don't know how well they'd do at activating an entire tube full of UV reactive fluid, also useless if I were to have braided cables.
I may just have to deal with the glow, although it somewhat detracts from the colour scheme. Was gonna call the build HADES after the rogue AI in Horizon

Found a company that makes true UV LED strips as opposed to nUV
