Old SIS 661FX Chipset - Running Passive?

Does anybody know much about this old chipset, SIS 661FX?

I have a Shuttle PC with one in and it has an annoying whiney fan mounted on it.

Does the chipset require any active cooling or will it run cool enough with the fan disconnected?

Anyway to monitor temps or such on this chipset?

try speedfan program on it and see if it picks up the temp ?

i've done systems with P4S800 MX SE Boards with that chipset that was passive and the heatsink was not anything to get excited about, i think you'll be fine.
