We've had this for years, 60+ years! I remember playing with it as a kid :p and recently asked my mum about it. Still got it, so I head onto Google.

Not a lot on there except this website (translated by google)

My question to OcUK gun knowing people, is it illegal to have it and is it worth anything? :p
 
I know that blank firers and starting pistols aren't supposed to have anything coming out of the barrel and that looks as though it may have gas discharge through there.

I'd have a word with your local Firearms Liaison Officer to get a definitive answer.

Who, What & Where would I find a Firearms Liaison Officer?
 
There are FEOs (Firearms Enquiry Officers) everywhere, I'd just call your local nick and ask to talk to one of them. The main man, the Liaison officer will probably be at the county police HQ.
 
Walk into your local police station waving it around a bit and making some loud noises. They'll soon let you know if you're allowed to have it.
 
As long as it is not capable of discharging any bullet, shot or other object from the barrel then its legal. Capable includes if it can easily be converted to do same.
 
If you don't need it or want it then i'd just take it down to the local police station and give it to them tbh

if its worth money sell it imo, go to your local boozer and ask if anyone wants to buy a starter pistol that looks like a proper handgun :D

Unfortunaetly it has happened :(

Best bet is to phone the local station and advise them that you found it while clearing some stuff out. They will, most likely, send an AFO round to proof the gun and either seize it or allow you to keep it if the item is not a firearm.
 
Cant see anyh good out come from this.

Call the police..."Hi,I need to speak to someone about a gun I have" *Sirens and screeching tyres* "Come out with your hands up".

Take it in..."Hi, I have a gun" *Pepper spray followed by a good battening*
 
It's legal so long as it's not forward venting. Won't sell for more than 20-30 quid on the gun forums so I'd just keep it. Order a box of blanks and go nuts somewhere.

I am doing this.

The blank pops out of the top with a vent a little further ahead, there is no barrel.

Of course this has led to Feek showing me his big guns online earlier. Yes they were big! :eek:
