old system, but still good with games

Hi all, my pc spec is in my stig, and today I ran a userbenchmark test.

Ity did better then I expected for a old system

the cpu is oc to 4.2 ghz, 5.15 ghz turbo

UserBenchmarks: Game 111%, Desk 82%, Work 57%
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K - 86.4%
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 - 137.8%
SSD: Crucial BX200 960GB - 88.3%
HDD: WD Black 1TB (2013) - 63.2%
RAM: Kingston HyperX DDR3 1600 C9 4x4GB - 61.7%
MBD: MSI Z77 MPower (MS-7751)

Ivy Bridge can still get up and dance when it's paired with current and older gen GPUs (to a point) which is why those who do budget builds would go for either sandy bridge or ivy bridge CPU paired with decent graphics cards.

My I7-3770K based system still plays everything I throw at it fine, with a 1070Ti I put in it at the beginning of the year.

I'm confused, how exactly does a 3570K have a 4.2Ghz OC, but turbo to 5.1Ghz? What is this 1Ghz turbo?

I was still up until yesterday on an old 1st gen i7 [email protected] and a 1060. ran pretty much everything still at 1080p@60fps, only games it really struggled with are super cpu intensive stuff like the newer battlefield games and assassins creeds, its had a surprisingly long life.

im not sure, it is auto oc on my board. and they are the stats that are displayed in the info section, and on tests

I only upgraded to an 8700 because my 3770S or its motherboard became faulty.

My spare PC is a 3770k sporting a Zotac Amp Extreme 1080ti.
Not tried any games on it yet though
