old system needs upgrade

My old system needs some upgrades graphics card and ram but i am not sure if up to date parts will fit it
the mother board is a Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge) ** B3
the ram is G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL )
i was thinking of 32 gigs of ram and a 6-8 gig graphics card to replace my radion HD 6900 with 2gigs
or would i be better off getting a new system ?

the ssd has been replaced with a samgung 850 evo 500gb and the system has another 3tb hard drive and a hot swap dock.
I use it for gaming and photography work

thanks for the help i might just wait to see if ram and graphic cards drop in price and build a new system later this year or next year then unless i am unfortunate enough to get spectre or meltdown that will give me time to save for a much bigger upgrade
