I am trying to get an old 3rd generation iPod to sync up with my Mac but I am having problems simply restoring it to it's factory settings. I am using iTunes 7.6.1 on Leopard.
Due to my newer ipod breaking I am trying to get an old one to work. I was just using it as an external hard disk without any of the ipod software on it. I thought I could simply restore it to it's factory settings via itunes however it seems to crash everytime I do so. After a google search it seems the new updates don't seem to support the older iPods and I think I need to revert to an older update somehow.
Any help would be great. I can't seem to find a solution.
