On the road....
I have a 19inch CRT Tiny A1996NST Monitor, but cannot find a driver for it (XP).

My Gfx card reports it as a "default monitor" but it is quite dark - especially noticable in dark games!!! :p- and I wonder if the correct driver for the thing may help.

Trouble is, with Tiny being defunct, I cannot seem to find any drivers for the thing.

Could it (the monitor) have been made by a 3rd party? I've done some Googling but only seem to find "Lite-On" products that match the model number.

They make CD/DVD drives don't they?

Cheers for any help. :)

You don't need a driver for a CRT. If it's dark just increase brightness. If it generally looks dull, increase contrast.

Both are maxxed (brightness & contrast on the monitor) I can screw about using my Nvidia driver settings to sort the brightness to a degree, just thought a driver may have helped.

New monitor time tbh (built in 1998! :o)

Cheers. :)

Old CRT's are often dull compared to modern TFT's, so your probably just used to using a TFT.

I quite agree, CRT's are crap! :D

The daft & annoying thing is I bought a CRT for my daughters pc the other day, £5 from a market stall, its contrast, brightness etc are spot on

Tbh, I'm probably going to down grade to this monitor & she can have my dark 19 inch!

I'll get a TFT in the spring probably.

Cheers. :)
