My HP Compaq c6230 has finally given up the ghost, this was something that i acquired back in 2005 but have been using it as a device to play movies and browse the internet. Couldn't put windows on it for some reason so ended up with Ubuntu but looks like the Hard Drive has pegged it.
I have taken this out and noticed that it is an IDE/PATA HD
Can you still buy these from anywhere other than moody ones from Amazon or is there an adapter that you can put on the IDE/PATA side that will accept a SATA 2.5inch drive?
