Hey there, I just found out that my Logitech webcam is not supported in vista 64
Is there anyone out there that could make me a driver of some sort  (is it even possible?)And I don’t really want to go out and spend £40 on new webcam while I have a perfectly good one here!

Or know any website that hosts such drivers?
I don’t remember the model of my webcam but I have the serial and part numbers
I did try to install some of the software from the other makes of webcam out now but with no success

Serial number: laza33910520
Part number:861092-0020

Thanks in advance you bunch of clever people!

no chance

unless logitech have made a driver for it, there's no way you can use it, driver signing alone costs $500 for 64bit (i think)

Just buy a cheap microsoft cam, like a vx1000 or vx3000, they cost £11 and £16, i've got a vx3000, got it for about £26 a few years back, no compaints

yep agree with Bledd still got the logitech think 4000 model and it does not work with vista 64 although the software works does not crash etc, cannot get a picture to show.

so went out and bought a microsoft one work very well.

I got a VX-1000 for free, great little x64 compliant webcam! If i'd seen this thread I would have given it to you!

But yeah handy bit of kit.

Yep got the VX-3000 because my Sony EyeToy has no Vista x64 driver (it would be unsigned even if there was one). I meant to buy the VX-1000 but I had them both in my OcUK basket and then removed the wrong one, no problem though as it was only a couple of quid more expensive.

You can remap the button on top by editing a registry key, I have mine mapped to Skype, it's not perfect because you have to hit the button twice to start the program but after that it's only one click until you reboot.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F}\<NUMBER>\Settings]

The <NUMBER> will differ depending on what devices you have installed, moving the USB port it is plugged into will also create a new entry so you need to change all instances of it.

You then need to change the QuickStartPath entry.

Put it on MM I am sure someone will give something for it! I paid £15 for mine

That top button I hardly see me using that! But I will bear that edit in mind
Thanks!
