kind of a shame its called "old world" but doesn't have the earlier civilizations/ city states for example
Phoenicians (phoenicia became carthage I know), Alashiya, Ugarit, Canaanites, Amurru, Trojans, Assuwa, Hittites, Assyrians, Mitanni, Babylonia, Egyptians, Punt, Mycenaeans, Minoans
all knew of each other and traded with each other.
shame no game exists that sets to fully emulate history with the various city states and civilizations coming in and out of existence according to what we know about history.
obviously following it loosely so things can change.
every civilization would face it's own unique challenges.
the map would have to be restricted by game mechanics or slowly expand over time.
you'd think the romans were the first advanced people in history with how games are.
