I've never owned either of them, but i have the chance to get one of the 2 in the next couple of weeks.

Which do you guys suggest, and which games?

Personally id go for the xbox and get forza motorsport, max payne and hitman

But if you want games coming out your ears it would probably be the PS2

Hmmm get the Xbox, it has more potential.
The only game I really play on the PS2 is guitar hero and that is the only reason I bought it.

depends on type of game you're in to. I've owned both and much prefer the exclusives on the ps2 like shadow of the colossus, god of war, resident evil 4, gt4.
or better still, buy both, seen em for £40 second hand all over the shop :)

Resident evil was on the game cube (and was much better then the PS2 port) not an "exclusive"

Go for the xbox its got some really good games and the PS2 its really showing its age now

Personally I preferred the Xbox, it has some absolutely amazing titles such as Ninja Gaiden, RalliSport Challenge and Halo.

But... I'm gonna say the Playstation 2, purely because it has God of War which is just staggeringly good. Other games I loved were TimeSplitters (1-3), Pro Evolution Soccer and Ico.

Plus there are the certainties such as Metal Gear Solid and Gran Turismo.

You seem to have taken the words right out of my mouth! :p

In the title of this thread, it is indeed an 'exclusive'. Can't get it for the xbox ;)

my friend did the same thing recently, he got a slim PS2 (against my advice) and it broke within the week!! He took it back and got an xbox and loves it, so dont make the same mistake!!

I love both to bits but if I could've only had one of them I would take the ps2 and a copy of pro evo 5.

Xbox has some great games though, especially if you're into driving.

I suppose it would depend on what time of game your into. Personally I would go for the PS2 as I prefer the games plus they seem to have a more wider range of games available.
