older games - not optimum mode

Hi Guys, hoping someone can help, ive been trying to play some older games i have but im getting "not optimum mode recommended mode : 1920x1200 60Hz" on my screen then it stops displaying the image? does any know how to stop this? its a samsung 2433bw monitor and im running windows 7 Ult if that helps?

thanks, took a look and followed the 3 steps but still does it, :-(

cant even get the game to run in windowed mode :-(
