older soundcard or use onboard sound?

hi there

I've ordered an Asus P5K-E WiFi with onboard 7.1 sound, but have a PCI Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS that I picked up a few years ago - am I better off sticking with the onboard sound (new technology over old?) or going with the dedicated but older card? I'm wondering about sound quality and the extra load on the southbridge of the mobo if I use onboard sound, would be handy to know as if the onboard is better then will save me installing the audigy 2 and drivers (also have had some minor sound issues with some games in the past)

The ZS is much better if you are on XP.

Still not bad on Vista but the drivers arent brilliant for it

The Audigy 2 ZS will be better than the on-board solution. I used to have one like the majority of people and it was ok and definately better than my on-board solution.
