Hi
Currently thinking of best ways to build a low cost low power file sever, and one option os to re-use the Athlon 1600 XP-M (mobile) chip I have.
It draws 25watts which is ideal. Used as a file server theres no need no clock it.
Thing is, I need to track down a motherboard and PSU to use it with, and this is where I get stuck.
I think it was the old Socket A it used, which is fine, but I'm after a LOW POWER server, one that can compete with the Intel Atom systems drawing around <30watts.
Is this possible using the Athlon XP-M?
Does a motherboard for me exist?
Ta for any replies in advance.
