Just put together a system to use as a spare/2nd system using various older parts.

It's running a Socket 478 P4 Prescott CPU 2.8Ghz at stock speed (14x200).

The performance is good for an older system, but I did notice that it seems to be running quite warm compared to the AMD64 CPUs I'm used to (temperature is anything between 44-48 at idle, not sure about under load).

Just wondered if this is normal for one of these?

Thanks for replies :)

Thanks for replies.

Seems like so long as it's running fine and the temperatures don't become silly then there Isn't much to worry about ;)
