You may want to reserve judgement, it was released as freeware according to the site and they are also offering several other games for sale (US$) and demo's so on face value it appears it may well be legit.

Cool, looks like you might be right. I saw Duke3D listed as freeware, but it turns out that's some dodgy fan game or something, not the real one. Looks like it is legit after all. It would be nice to have a little explanation of why the game is freeware though, just to confirm it is all legit.

You can't blame me for being a little cautious. The concept of abandonware is a dodgy one and usually so called abandonware sites twist things to make it seem like they are legit.
