OLED 1440P or 4K IPS

I thinking of swapping my 4 year Dell S2721DGA, it's served my well as a gaming monitor. But I have the upgrade itch and have been thinking of going Oled 1440p or 4K IPS as these types of monitor cost around the same price and it's about what I paid for my current Dell monitor.

So what I'm asking, is what is the general consensus of which is better and what would you go for?

I'm sticking with 27" screen as I am limited with space, otherwise I would have an ultra wide monitor like my son has in his bedroom.

Also screen size doesn't bother me much, as I have VR

It's looking like OLED is the way to go.

The main games I play are world of warship, L4D2, Fortnite, and I IL-2 sturmovik in VR which really pushes the 7900XTX

I'm glad you have posted this, I was looking at this monitor last night and watched quite a few YouTube videos about it. Including a monitors unboxed review.

It's gone to the top of my list, it's using an LG panel.

I've bought the AOC monitor, it seems quite a few monitors use this LG panel and it should be a great upgrade from my Dell IPS 165Hz monitor.
