OLED Care, What options do you use??

I've been using my LG C1 48" OLED for 4 years as a gaming and general use monitor. It gets used pretty much constantly, more so since I retired over a year ago.
One thing that bothered me in the beginning was the overly aggressive auto dimming, bought an engineers remote and turned that off.

Like everyone else I was worried about burn in and took the usual precautions, most have been mentioned here.
Auto hide taskbar, windows dark themes, let LG take care of the pixels, put all desktop icons on a second monitor, etc, etc.

Now I have gotten over the "burn in" fear and don't even give it a second thought any more. Just use it like any other monitor.

There are no signs of burn in anywhere on my screen.

I wouldn't hesitate to get an OLED for gaming or otherwise. It's got to be the best upgrade I've ever done for my PC (or PC's).

None of that crap i just use my OLED as any other monitor i have ever owned and waits to see how it handles it :D:eek:

Bought my Asus PG32UCDM about 8 months ago back in January.
Do you have desktop icons and a wallpaper etc? Do you only rely on the inbuilt OLED care functions? @Somerled Same question for you also.

I keep mine clear of desktop icons, put them all on a second monitor and taskbar, which is on autohide.
ATM I'm using a generic windows desktop theme (captured motions), but I have used my own custom themes before, using photo's from my personal library.

No longer worry about burn in, for me it's a non issue. Take a few basic precautions and there's nothing to worry about.
I do let LG's own OLED care function run - except auto dimming. The only thing I see is a message, once in a blue moon, about doing a pixel clean.
Just let it get on with it and as far as I can see the picture is as good as the day I bought it.

I don't use screen savers and neither have my monitor turn off after 30 seconds of inactivity - hate that stuff. The timer for turning off my monitor is...never!
Switch it off myself when done using it.
