Hey hey,
Treated myself to a 5080 this week with the idea of also getting a 4k 32" OLED panel. I have toyed with the idea of a 1440p UW and for no real objective reason I'm still leaning to a 4k 32", despite not hearing anyone being unhappy with an UW. 4k UW is intriguing but my setup (5080, 7800X3D) would struggle somewhat I imagine? I know I won't be maxing out 240fps at 4k with a 5080 either though.
Anyhow I've had my eye on the Alienware AW3225QF (some 12% sale just ended yesterday it seems, typical) but wondered if it's worth waiting for the next gen of panels this year; seem to recall a Reddit thread mentioning new types of coating that eliminate most of the flaws associated with WOLED and QD-OLED. From what I can remember Rtings favoured the MSI MPG 321URX for PC gaming but they're sitting behind a paywall now (tbh I may pay up for further research, they're benchmarking is insane).
It'll be used 95% for gaming, that being said however it'd be nice to still have crispy text clarity.
Just realised no question exists in this post yet - worth waiting for new panels or are the coupled listed above just fine as they are?
Cheers
