OLED SCREEN - warranty / refund question

Hey,

So I’m thinking of purchasing this laptop. I’ve looked at reviews and payed attention to the positives and negatives - but overall i’m happy with the product.

Recently, I came across reading about OLED screens having the issue of static images burning in. So my question is, if I got this laptop - would OC replace me with a new laptop free of charge / refund if it was to happen? Other than that I am very keen on getting it.

How has OC customer support / warranty stuff been for everyone? Any further advice?

Thanks in advance!

The OLED screens on the laptops are more like the AMOLED screens that phones use rather than the OLED TVs. I have an Alienware with the OLED screen and I do not regret it. I do not even see temporary image retention (where you can see static images for less than a minute after it's gone) whereas on my LG OLED tv I do see that. As such I do not think there would be a problem with the laptop.

I’ve had an OLED TV for 2 years now and no signs of burn in.

A YouTube reviewer ran a 30 day static image on the 4k OLED Dell XPS 15 and there was zero image retention. As such I’ve just managed to snag one on the outlet for under £1300 :)
