I hate the phrase overrated, but unfortunately, it applies here.

So my alienware QD-oled came in the mail today. I paid 899 canadian. I was expecting something extravagent. I was expecting an image quality unmatched in all the thrones of titan. I'm not convinced it's a better image quality than my 280 HZ alienware IPS. Man, I'm not convinced it's nicer to look at than my old 2017'ish 300 dollar RCA cheapskate 4k 55 inch television.

It seems dim. I don't get it. I always thought everyone gushing over "seeing details in the inky blacks" was an odd thing to base a viewing experience on, and now that I'm seeing the detail in Jeff Daniel's black jacket, it strikes me as even more irrelevant. I'd rather have a bright, vibrant image than see a pocket on a black jacket. I'm just not following this at all.

If I paid full price for this panel, I'd feel ripped. If I paid 1900 for the LG variant, I'd probably commit sepuku.
