I have a Olivetti ANY_WAY photo printer...

Ok, i press the scan button on my printer and it brings up the toolbox windows, i choose scan to file, set as photo scan, press scan on the software and it comes up with a message saying error has occured...
Now the printer status is 'aborting, device user: host computer' and the scan light on the printer is flashing... its been aborting for 20 mins now i doubt its going to abort as the 1st time it did it i restarted the printer, so this isnt the 1st time ive had this problem...
Does anyone know whats up with it? I have latest firmware and software ithink, i did a recent update anyway so... check the screenshot below for versions...
