Olympic Athletics

Makes you wonder what else we can achieve in the athletics, i wasn't expecting 3 golds from the whole thing never mind in one night.

I have to admit, living in London I was fuming when the Olympics were first announced as ultimately I've been paying more towards it than others in other parts of the country. However, I eat humble pie and stand corrected.

This evening alone has proven a total success. Our country needed this, it couldn't have come at a better time.

I too felt the same especially since due to the Olympics being held in London I've had to work at the Olympic site often doing very long hours. However after having had the privilege of seeing the opening ceremony in person and the great attitude exhibited by the volunteers and staff that run the events all my negativity went out the window. I'm so proud to be a born and bred East Londoner for the majority of my life and most importantly part of Great Britain.

Perhaps this will help restore some national pride many seem to have lost.

Been all over the world and i can honestly say GB is one of the best places to live.

Awesome seeing a country come together, so proud.

I've spent the entire day screaming at the TV and now my voice has gone. I feel so proud to be British, it's amazing a melting pot of people of varying ethnic origins waving the British flag. This is what it's all about seeing all of us come together.

I've always said it but I'll say it again...I Love London!!!!

Brilliant viewing! Well done to all

It has been fantastic to watch it all so far and to think that I wasn't even bothered with it. Thoroughly impressed with everything I've seen so far. Loved the archery, badminton, volleyball, rowing, cycling and all the athletic events over the last 2 days. Simply Brilliant.

Here's to a few golds tomorrow :)

I just want to share with you a picture I took whilst working around the Olympic venue the other day.

It's such a majestic stadium and a lot of hard work has gone into making London 2012 the spectacular success that it is.

I'm pretty sure Jess will get the sportsman of the year over Wiggins. The TV coverage tonight is pretty much all about her, more than any of the others, and she's an athlete who won a medal through multiple events.
