I've got tickets to the swimming on Friday morning and am thinking of making a day of it. I'll probably spend some time in London, but there's a few events I'm interested in the late afternoon and early evening.

I'm thinking of going to watch some on the big screens either in the Olympic park, or in Hyde park. The weather looks ok so that shouldn't be a problem.

Has anyone else been to the Hyde park big screen? Good atmosphere? Worth going? Or better to stick in the Olympic park?

I went to the opening in Hyde Park, had a great atmosphere. Hyde Park is technically ticketed even though its free as there is a free gig there so you might not get in if it fills to capacity. Depends how popular the person is who is playing. I don't know what the turnouts been like though over the last few days though.

Looks like you have Amy McDonald playing, I don't know how popular she would be.
