They looked absolutely gutted, like they have let their country down.

It's a shame but it was a very good race, Silver is still good, but in their eyes they wanted nothing else but a gold.

So it feels like a major let down/loss for them, which it defiently wasn't.

Shows just what it means to them! Good on them! I am sure that in time they'll be happy with getting a Silver! Good on them, they've let nobody down!

in the other lanes if your slightly behind your competing against the wash from the other boats, basically more drag

I think the wind can be a factor but they put the best people next to each other to reduce the advantage

The faster your qualify, the better lane you get. Same in the athletics too!
