So a win for Baltacha but she's against Ivanovic in the next round so that's the end of that.

It appears the men's tournament is best of 3? Seems a bit of a shame but I guess it's difficult to fit into 1 week (I assume) if they play best of 5.

Fed having a bit of a wobble losing his service game for the match as well...

I think you're having a storm in a tea cup here guys. Tute is right in some ways, as 3rd seed, it suggests there are two guys better than Murray so if all goes to form he should get bronze.

Doesn't mean he can't make the final mind.

Is Fed playing his best or is he being secretly generous? I know he wants the gold but perhaps he's helping murray out?

Why on earth would he do that?

He's in the final for a gold medal for himself and his country.

Not only that, but if Murray wins it could give him the mental confidence going forward in the GSs which really wouldn't be good news for Federer.

The fact that the 3 of the big 4 that are fit all made the semis suggests they do take it pretty seriously. Agreed a slam is more prestigious but I think the Olympics should really be regarded as at least as good as a masters event forgetting ranking points for a moment.
