Hi People

Anyone got any idea when PC companys will start installing Vista OME's on there systems???
My laptop is about to die big style :( and I wasn't wanting to buy a new one untill Vista came installed.
 
Windows XP Home Version = Windows Home Edition
Windows Vista Home Version = Windows ome Edition

How big is your company? Are they on a Volume Licencing program?

If they are, you can get Vista Upgrade Licences from the middle of November, but you can only get the media from December the 1st.

I havnt got a company :confused: I would just like a new lappy with Vista installed.
So if I can just keep this one running untill Jan 06 from what reading here.

I don't know how much of this will be true in the UK, but for the larger PC/Notebook manufactures (Dell/HP etc) I would imagine something similar to be true.

So basically, from Oct 26th some new Laptops/Computers will ship with XP <whatever> and a token to upgrade for free or ~half price to the equivalent version of Vista.

IIRC if you buy a system with XP Home, or MCE the voucher would be towards Vista Home or Home Premium.

Sorry I misread that, I thought you had a company lappy.

As for when OEMs will sell Vista? I think it's about April time.
