Hello, i have just purchased the HP Omen 17 laptop ck0000na for £1900. But i have seen some people on a deal tracker website say that this is a bad deal. Because there are no reviews for this spec, i have no idea if it's going to be powerful enough to run most games at 60FPS. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you :)

For reference, here are the specs:
i7 11800H, 32GB RAM, 17.3" QHD display and an RTX 3080.

Also, I'm considering the legion 5 pro with the i9 12900H and 3070 because i think the better processor will work better with flight simulator. Do you think this is true? It is the same price.

That laptop was £200 cheaper a few weeks ago. I had the 11800h/3070 model (cost £1399 with an extra 10% off through my workplace perks site so £1260) and returned it. I found the panel to be not quite bright enough and the overall build just wasn’t quite as solid as I’d have liked (particularly the lid). I went for a Legion 7 gen 6 instead.

I'm not too fussed about saving £200, i just want to know if it will run games as previously stated.

so you din't do your home work .. look up specs ?? build quality of vendor ?
an oldish review for you https://laptopmedia.com/gb/review/hp-omen-17-2021-17-ck0000/ and a better review .. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0plgPHVSFb0
also theres a few on ebay .. not many so looks like there not totally crap
I did look at both of these reviews but they're not for the ck0000na. And i did research the specs but couldn't understand most of it. There seems to be no simple answer on the entire internet.

if you take part by part it's not a bad laptop .. but it's down to the build quality .. get it play it if you like it keep it if not send it back .. simples ..

It’ll run the majority of games fine at QHD/60 or better frame rates either on the built in panel (which sadly isnt gsync compatible) or an external display. The 4k performance is something else though, and while it’ll surpass 60fps in some games it’s going to struggle in others.

Try it when it arrives and see if you’re happy. If it can’t perform how you need/expect it to then return it.

Do you think I'll get 60FPS at QHD on the cheaper model or a legion 5 pro?

Depends on the game. Destiny 2 is the only game I play that I have the FPS displayed on and that sat pretty solid at 83fps (never dropped below 70+) at QHD on the 11800h/3070 (same on my Legion 7 Pro 5800h/3070).
