Think I'll need to see a list of the place names and the Chance/Community Chest cards before I commit to this, also if there's no thimble or little dog in the game then there's no deal.

If it's like any of the other versions (undoubtedly it is) then it will cheat and you will be disappointed. By cheating I am referring to non random dice throws based on chosen difficulty settings and other game variables, making it pretty useless as the whole point of a game designed around dice throws is to have a 'fair' chance of getting different numbers.

What generally happens is that you will get the AI hitting constant sixes when stuck in jail, always missing your hotels even when you have a long row of them or the opposite with you constantly landing on built up land.

The only way around this is to play multiplayer with only humans, I think in that case it will actually not try to manipulate dice throws. Don't quote me on that though.

what does that matter?

That truly is awful, also reminds me of how hard it was to find the proper version.

what does that matter?

When you have grown up with something you tend to get attached to it. I don't want American street names because it makes the game unfamiliar and strange to me. If I had bought it I would be saying to myself as I played "where is this place?" or "I've never heard of this street" etc etc.

Now don't get me wrong, Lord of the Rings or The Simpsons versions are all fine and good as I have probably heard of the places which would be on the board. I just like my Monopoly to be the way I remember it as a kid playing with my family.

And that's why it matters to me :)

Maybe they'll bring out UK DLC?

...Eurgh local multiplayer though, totally wanted to take my property letting skills online and pwn some nubz. :(

Local only is stupid.

I want UK multiplayer versions of Monopoly. Trivial Pursuit, and risk.

They have been available from toy shops for decades ;) Why would you want to play games based on interaction with real people over the internet? Half the fun is the other players reaction when you pull a blinder

Because I've already pwn't my family multiple times to the point they won't play with me (only half exaggeration!). Hardly gonna get my mates to be interested in a game of Monopoly am i?
