Ok I am sort of new to battlefield 4, my kids bought me it as a present today I was thinking my compouter in sig wasn't that bad, how wrong can I be.

The GeForce experiance reccomended all settings on ultra ect ect.

I normaly game at 1920x 1200. I have not had problems with other games I am running, is it just my graphics card cannot handle the game. I have even tried logging intot he game, the overall menu system is laggy. and changed every setting to from ultra to high from high to medium ect ect, and its still unplayably laggy, its like stutter heaven

Appologies if this has been asked before im just gutted my kids spent like £80 on the game for me and I cannot even play it.

Please help

Ur rigs perfectly fine m8. I have lower spec and it plays lovely on high appart from server issues.

set it to high default and make sure ur drivers are up to date.

you really should not be struggling. Something is not right. Check the video settings and ensure the correct display settings are selected. (ensure it hasn't defaulted to 23hz or something silly- I had this on another game recently)

other than that reinstall drivers, reseat card and reset any overclocks for now.

As above, i was playing mid to high during beta at 45 to 60 fps on my rig in my sig and my only let down was my gfx

Have you downloaded the latest driver? 331.6, it's the game ready driver for BF4. Having no probs on my rig with a GTX670. You should be smashing it

i would take this step first.

i have the system in my sig, and i can play at 1366x768 with everything on ultra. and it runs smooth as a babys bottom.

just wish the god damn game would stop crashing

Nothing wrong with your specs, I got an i5 2500k @ 4.4 and a 7950 oc, and run it fine on high/ultra..
Drops down to 45/50 fps in some fights

Windows 8 might solve your problems.

People found the Beta ran much better with Windows 8, and you should not be struggling at all with that spec.

I played the Beta @ 1920x1080, High settings (No AA) on:

i7 4770k @ 4.5Ghz, 8GB Ram, AMD 6870 HD 1GB, Windows 8.

Since then I've got a 290x which runs on Ultra, but it was perfectly playable on the above rig.

You have to have the latest drivers for it to run, I had the exact same problem with my GTX660 sli setup. Updating the drivers solved it and I am now able to play it easily in ultra.

I'd just reiterate the above. Your system is perfectly fine to handle BF4. I would start by removing and uninstalling the nvidia drivers and run a driver sweeper. Reboot and reinstall the latest "Game Ready" nvidia drivers. How are other games performing?

680 and 7970's on bf4 at 1920x1080 can easily go on ultra with no issues from what I have seen.

So yeah, check your settings and drivers mate

Not in windows mode?

Also I have heard a guy on here who thought he was using his graphics card but was actually using the Intel graphics built into his CPU, So please check this first.

AHA

thank you guys for the advice ans posts, you helped me solve it.

And what a simple fix it was too.

The drivers
I was looking for these game ready drivers and couldn't find them , so I ticked beta drivers in the GeForce experience, and then they popped up. did a clean install of them via the custom option, restarted my pc loaded up bf4 went in amazing diff(although was on low) exited the game, whent back tot the GeForce experience panel, clicked on the optimise game settings.

This then put everything up to ulta at 1920x1200 I was a bit worried, anyhow went back intot he game and bang perfectly playable

Thank you for the advice and posts
