OMG i cannot believe this iphone 3g help

Right I have only had my iphone 3g 12 days I think I will have a look when I get back tonight to make sure. Anyway everything was great with it could not be better till 30mins ago at work when I saw a crack on the back of the phone what do I do where do I stand I got it from the car phone warehouse and the £45 a month contract.

Now I know this is cosmetic damage but still will I get a replacement and would it be o2 or the car phone warehouse that will replace it. I hope it will be ok is it the 1st 14 days they will replace it or the 1st 28 days.

I wouldn't class a crack as cosmetic damage. That should be covered by the 12 month warranty unless you've been misusing it.

You should be alright, take it to an Apple Store if you can, if not o2/CPW will do.

Thx Jokester i will upload a pic of it tonight when i get back but i am not 100% sure on this that is why i asked i thought if it is within 28 / 14 days not sure what one you can get a replacement.

carphone warehouse and they are crap all they said was that i would have to speak to apple what a joke and then to top it off they said i would have to pay aswell :mad:

Just go in an apple store and as long as you can convince them you haven't dropped it etc- they will give you a new one straight away.

Sounds like you must have dropped it / treated it mean though as these things do not usually just crack. So I don't think you can exactly moan about having to pay.

There is no apple store near Norwich. I have not dropped it i have been soo careful it. It just appeared should i phone apple then

I've had the 2G iPhone for a 3-4 months now and it has a few scuffs on the back due to keys and cards.

I'm away traveling at the mo, so it's holding up well.

It's been dropped a few times, once onto a hard tiled floor from above waist height and landed flat on it's screen, it left no mark on the device, but lets say the protective screen cover was wrecked. :eek:

If your going to be carrying the iphone everywhere then you really need to get a good case for it. There's no reason not to have one.

Just take it back to Carphone Warehouse, they will replace it.
