Don't believe I've finally managed to get one of these.. I thought my friend's 500/F4 was big but this thing is utterly massive, not light either,. my back is already beginning to moan

Brand new, imported from the US for a decent saving, although still not cheap by any stretch of imagination ";(" I guess its a month of pot noodles and Aldi bread for me then!

Getting up at 3am to go to RSPB Minsmere in Suffolk to give it a full day blast, then Bempton cliffs on Monday with something else inbetween.. will post some pictures when I get back!!

PS, sorry about the rubbish pics of the lens, dinner was on the table and i'd spent ages messing around with it!

I went to Bempton cliffs last sunday, a lot of people about, if it's of any use to you, there were a lot of guillemots and gannets about, only saw 2 puffins though, oh, and there's a peregrine falcon hanging about there too (never got any pics of it though). Found a nice viewpoint to get close to the gannets too, head right as you come from the RSPB building to the cliffs and it's inbetween the 1st and 2nd viewpoint.
