OMG I've forgotten how to use a mouse!

Since the days of Doom ive had my mouse set reversed. I've just tried to play 2 of my favourite games Half-Life DM and CS-Source. I can't remember how to use my mouse, i feel like my brain has been rewired.

I've tried both normal and reversed and neither makes much sense Im gutted, i used to be so good at these games!

Can anyone help me or am i going to have to retire from the fps gaming world

Ive been playing Warhammer 40k :/

It's a scary thought that, im just going to have to learn to use a mouse again!

PRAISE THE LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORD - I can play again!!!

I don't know why i invert my mouse, it just makes sense to me, always has. I used to like playing flight sims like F29 Retaliator and at the time i didnt have a joystick so i used the mouse - maybe thats why.

Yesterday I tried playing Serious Sam yesterday on my laptop using the touchpad - I couldn't play it inverted! Maybe thats what confused my brain in the first place - using a finger mouse

I'm curious as to why you would want to do that, given that there was no vertical looking in Doom. You would get mouseforward = move back, mouseback = moveforward

There was vertical look in one of the Doom's wasn't there? I actually thought about this long and hard when i posted the thread and was sure that at some point Doom evolved, maybe not the first one though.
Ok how about if i change it the Heretic, but then if Heretic used mouse up/down the Doom was sure to right?

I have a friend who played in all-inverted. i.e: left and right was inverted on his mouse too. If you're going to use the argument about which way your head goes, then he was the one I've met doing it really properly
