OMG the colours! Wow!

I just swapped out my LG panel for the AUO b156hw01 v4 and holy hell the colours just POP! It's amazingly bright and also uses a matte coating so does not get reflections.

You should see the 1080p 17.3" version of that panel in my Asus G74SX.. Awesome!

I've recently upgraded to this panel in my GX660R, and I was knocked over by the amazing colours!

Its been the single most worthwhile upgrade so far, cos lets face it its the one thing you look at all the time. Still cant get over how everything looks so good. I was really missing out with all the low gamut and low viewing angle screens beforehand, not any more

Well at least my LG panel had the viewing angles and most of the contrast, it just missed out on the colours.

I don't know which upgrade I like more.

The SSDs, GFX card (560m to 570M) or the screen.

One day I might upgade the panel in my laptop as it is both glossy with terrible viewing angles

£60-80 for a 14" panel is pretty attractive.

So let me get this straight. You bought the panel on ebay or something then opened your laptop and swapped it? I'd be very interested in doing this my self. Are there any guides?
