I got a jeantech 700W PSU and plugged it and my PC worked. installed windows and was installing drivers and stuff at which point windows decided to die.

now when ever I turn on my PC, it just restarts when it reaches the windows loading page.

previously as well when I was installing drivers, the icons in windows werent displayed and i couldnt access some options. hence I restart my PC and now it wont boot.

Intel C2D E750
Gigabyte P35 DS3R
2 GB Geil ram PC6400
X1950pro
DVD rewriter
DMX 6fire
1 SATA HDD
1 Network card

Now to me it either looks like the X1950 is incompatible with the motherboard or the motherboard is damaged?

Not enough juice from the PSU?

nope cant do either, I have stripped everything off except 1 ram module, HDD, mobo + CPU and video card

All fans are plugged in etc

abit odd that it was working fine-ish for a while then died.

I am going to take it apart and see if any of the mobo capacitors are damaged.

nope not OCing or anything, I have literally just been setting it up. I havent even finished loading all the drivers yet. and its dead as a dodo.

visual inspection, as far as I can tell no damaged capacitors, no leaking, bulges that I see or darkened/burnt bits.

i dont have another gfx to test it with, but have swapped the ram modules, so I know its not the ram.

so its either

CPU
Mobo
Video card
HDD

If that doesn't help and you've limited the choices to

CPU
Mobo
Video card
HDD

Do you have spares of those parts that you can swap and change around to eliminate the possibility of it being each component. Its not exactly a quick process though..

Ah they joys of computing ;)
