I bought a power supply from here and fitted it yesturday.

Woke up this morning switched my pc on.. was fine for 2 hours... then it switched itself off. Tested the power supply with an antec power supply tester.

Guess what...

Power supply just blew my system.

Done tests with another system with componants....

1. Power Supply has went
2. MSI motherboard has went
3. My 6800 GS has went
4. My X2 processor 3800 has died
5. My G.Skill 1GB DDR LE has died

only have receipt for power supply... guess I dont have a pc no more.. no receipt no return. I'm so mad right now

If you can prove it was the PSU, surely they'l have to reimburse you the full cost of all the other components of the PC?

How can I prove it was the PSU, It does show that the power supply is faulty when I test it. But we all know that means nothing.

Yes, Enermax would have to recoup the cost of the pc if I can prove it but there is no way to do that.

Well, ive took all the componants out of the system, done a bare bones setup. I can confirm nothing works. Have tested them in my shuttle system but everything fails to work . I will be ringing around tomorro when im at work to see if I can find out who the hell to turn too. First place is I suppose Enermax as its the power supply whats done this. darn it. I will have to get rid of my system if I can't return the componants.

Its happened to me before, but I never though to try and do anything about it as you know they would just say prove it was the PSU - pretty hard

Yep, I don't mind it happening But its happened to other people but its the time and warrenty issue

Why did you get a new powersupply? What happened to the previous one?

Anyway, I hope you recover from this as I'd be screwed for a long time if the same happened to me! I had a simliar situation a while ago where my new build just shut off, luckily for me it was only the motherboard dying and not the PSU.

Ah crap, I've got that PSU. Am waiting for my new 2GB Geil RAM coming tomorrow. I just hope that yours was a bad batch

I live with my nana and grandad, dont no about home insurence.. wouldnt really like to tred on anyones toes.

Good news.... for some reason my cpu and memory has come back alive. need a cheapo graphics card now pci-e to test it with, to see if the motherboard is gone aswell as my 6800 GS. not all dead

Only by the looks of it its my graphics card, and motherboard and power supply now
