Had a request to build a friend a SSF pc with the aim of getting some juice out of BF3. Now hes not a graphic whore and have a monitor thats like 1280x800 or whatever it is, so as long as he can play it well and stable he will be happy.
so needs to be cheap as chips and i was thinking these options:

BUDGET.
CPU: I3 2100 DUAL CORE 3.1GHZ - £89
GPU: ATI 6770 - £85 (or get a lot more power for £40 more and get an ATI 6850)
MOBO: Asus P8H61mATX - £67
RAM: 4GB (2x2GB sticks) - £27 (or get 8GB for £13 more)
HARD DRIVE: off me 320GB - £10
COOLER: Scythe Shuriken RevB - £26
CASE/PSU: Silverstone SG05BB + 450W PSU - £96
DVD DRIVE: £19
TOTAL: £419 (or £459 for more graphics)

BIT MORE CASH, BUT MUCH BETTER.

CPU: I5 2300 QUAD CORE - £138 (ideal for BF3)
GPU: GPU: ATI 6850 - £125
MOBO: Asus P8H61mATX - £67
RAM: 4GB (2x2GB sticks) - £27 (or get 8GB for £13 more)
HARD DRIVE: off me 320GB - £10
COOLER: Scythe Shuriken RevB - £26
CASE/PSU: Silverstone SG05BB + 450W PSU - £96
DVD DRIVE: £19
TOTAL: £508

the extra ram isn't essential but if he has £13 to throw away then its quite nice to have.
thoughts? anyone get it cheaper without losing performance?

i think the cooler is needed as i generally dont want stock in the case , as its bulky and limits air even more - which will mean more noise.
