My sister's got a knackered old 205. I found it for her on PH years ago for £350.

A colleague has offered buying it to go to a stag do in Amsterdam and leaving it there. I think this is a stupid idea, but at the same time, it's money in her pocket.
Would you?

Referring to that stupid thread, perhaps it's more common than we think!
I've seen a fair few cars on UK plates covered in an inch of dust at Brussels airport over the years..

Seems abit odd to me he'd wanna drive an old car there when surely it would be cheaper/faster to fly?

If your sister doesn't need a car, or has funds to replace it, then go for it provided the amount he offered isn't terrible. If that isn't the case though then keep it

i suggest you fully conform the sale with DVLA and whatever.

If someone found it and traced it back, and you were still the last confirmed owner im sure they could charge you for something.

A mate of mine, and his mate drove a banged out Golf to Amsterdam and left it there. Knowing the two of them I doubt it was taxed (well I know it wasn't) insured or if they even had a licence.

That was a few years back now, could possibly still be in the last spot they left it!
