On board raid...

Hi all,

i read on a post somewhere someone saying that the RAID that was build on to AMD AM3 board was not as good as the Intel variants...

I was considering going x3 720 route for my new build and i really want to use raid to help running Virtual Machines. So is it worth getting a RAID card? and are they pricey?

for home use the built in RAID will be fine.

What RAID are you thinking of going for?

well i thought i would just use stripped (RAID 0) for my VMs...i will keep a backup so im not too concerned about the risk of data loss
