:confused:hi
i v`e got a little further with this since my last post but not much.
i found a crysis icon in start menu-games-games explorer. i right click the icon and a small sub menu, the first and second options are dx9 and dx10, if i click dx9 the game game will load up, the intro is a bit jumpy and some you cant see at all and the menus jump, but the game seems to play fine on high settings, but if i click dx10 nothing happens except for the screen blinking for a fraction of a second. i checked in dxdiag and i definitely have dx10 installed.
i am using a radeon HD 4870 X2 2048MB graphics card,an inel quad pro q660 ,8mb of memory and an ABIT IP35 PRO board and vista 64 bit. i dont know that much about pc,s and only bought the system from ocuk a week ago but i reckon it should play this game on dx10, shouldnt it?
any one got any ideas?

Try going to the crysis directory and selecting the dx10 shortcut from there. There's one for dx9 and the other for dx10. Thats what i had to do. If it works and the game starts , press the console button in game and type r_displayinfo 1 This will tell you what mode it's running in.
