On hold music

Sat here on the phone to our Mitel suppliers to change on hold music and I don't know what kind of music to have, its a Engineering Project Management company so I've no idea what grey haired men like to hear down the phone.

What do you prefer to listen to down the phone?

We've got classical at the moment, no idea what - but the MD dosen't like it, so it has to go

Golden olides would have been good, but you have to pay royalties

I found an old no royalties on hold disc, just the standard stuff, its better the free one that came with it.

I'd rather have some jazz, but its all about being as beige as possible

I had radio1 on hold once, was rather annoyed when they picked up

Can you buy CD's of generic hold music?

Yup - but often retail are Royalty free - Halifax probably have thier own composed, or pay knowck down fee's.
