The only saying I can think of which only a few of my chums have been using for years is: 'Sweating like John Leslie'. 
Hot days in London on the tube can be a bit 'Leslie' and the term is used in the context of any sweaty activity. 'I played tennis on Saturday, I was really Leslie'.
Bit odd I know, but still raises a smile all these years later.

In a similar way, I'll often say things like 'I'm all over it like a cheap suit' meaning that I'm giving a task my maximum attention.

"Bare" and "Jokes". In fact my friend has been saying "Bare" for months. Now I am hearing it more and more.
Example usage.
