On it like a car bonnet...

The only saying I can think of which only a few of my chums have been using for years is: 'Sweating like John Leslie'. :D

Hot days in London on the tube can be a bit 'Leslie' and the term is used in the context of any sweaty activity. 'I played tennis on Saturday, I was really Leslie'.

Bit odd I know, but still raises a smile all these years later.

Friends are always saying

"Bare" and "Jokes". In fact my friend has been saying "Bare" for months. Now I am hearing it more and more.

Example usage.

"going out tonight, going to be bare jokes".
or
"last night was bare too jokes".

I die a little each time I hear it. :P
