looks like thin client tech - not new in business but certainly new in home video games.
I don't know about this. You can rent the games and yes you can buy them, however because it is thin client tech you will never actually have the game, as a physical object or even code, at your home.
This raises the question - what happens when your tele comms fail? or their service fails (unless they have good disaster recovery)
I am in two minds about it, while its convenience is unquestionable, I would hate to think that this would replace having the actual disc. I know many PC owners have gotten used to STEAM and console owners buying games through PSN and LIVE, however is this a step to far? Are we willing to make that step so such a service as this would be a success?
Or am I just being an old git who is just stuck in my ways?
