On/Off button

E6300
DS3
XMS2
7900GS

Got a little quirky thing that i noticed, wondering if anyone else has seen this.

When i press the power on button on the front of the case the computer starts to power up (on/off button flicks on/Fans start up), but after a few mili seconds the power light goes off and the fans all stop (basically powers down) then suddenly, after a few more mili-seconds, it all starts up and runs correctly.

Anyone ever seen this before?

Ill give this ago, but i would have thought if there was a damaged component the board wouldnt boot at all?

What watt psu do you think i would need for the setup in my first post?

I have a 550watt at the moment, but it was the cheapest one i could find bought several years ago.

It really is less than a second it turns off for.
Push on button - Fans start up/power light comes on.
power off
power starts up again.

Basically as quickly as you read the above is the time space that it accures in.
Can BIOS really check that fast?
