I notice my PC sounds a hell of a lot quieter when it's below my head than next to it. I prefer it on the floor for that reason alone really.

my p190 is under my desk,if your worried about dust then just clean it once a week like i do.
then again....my p190 is a bit to big to go on top of my glass desk tbh.
