For reason I can't remember now, on the wife's laptop (running Vista home basic) we enabled the on-screen keyboard and now it won't go away. You can close it manually, you can go to the options and supposedly turn it off, but every time you reboot it pops up again and has to be closed manually.

Any ideas how to to turn it off properly? I imagine there's a registry entry you can change, but I wouldn't have the first idea where to look.

Press the Win + U keys together to launch the Ease of Access Center.

Then click on "Use the Computer without a mouse or keyboard" (most probably the 3rd option in the list).

Then on next page uncheck the box which says "Use On-Screen Keyboard".

Click Save button and you're done.
