on three mobile and want to unlock your iPhone / iPad for free?

Greetings,

saw this on another forum and gave it a try..

.. lo and behold it works

Due to a glitch in the system if you have any iphone on 3UK it is being unlocked for free.

All you need to do is put any NON-3UK sim inside your iphone and activate it via wifi

should work on all the iPhones, I tried it on a iPhone 5 and unlocked within minutes

not sure how long the 'glitch' will be available, but it's free and beats paying three £15 or so to do it

Worked for me too, I assume its unlocked forever now? Or have I just put my 3 sim in buggered it up?

Free unlock works on other phones than an iphone too. Got my HTC One unlocked

Three seem to be on a roll. Free unlocks, killing off roaming charges, reducing the price of their plans (which were already cheaper than the competition), free 4G, truly unlimited data...all they need now is consistently decent customer service

I'm very happy with them anyway, way, way better than giffgaff before.
